Poly Medical Security Group: Refine and Implement “Society-Wide Efforts to Prevent and Control the Epidemic”

In accordance with the instruction of Xu Niansha, Chairman of Poly Group and Leader of the Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Group, Poly Group has set up a medical security group under the epidemic prevention and control working group, calling on employees with a professional background in medical care to voluntarily provide medical knowledge, medical advice, psychological intervention, medical counselling, and other forms of help for patients and employees, in order to improve the “self-prevention capacity” of Poly employees.
Gu Xiaohong, former Chairman of the trade union in Poly Property Group Co., Ltd, is now retired. After learning about the recruitment of medical workers by Poly Group, she stated that as long as peoples need her, she would dedicate herself and her previous nursing experience to the medical team. Gu Xiaohong’s husband is also a medical worker. At the critical moment of the fight against the epidemic, he is also fighting day and night in the front line with his colleagues. Gu Xiaohong joined the Poly Group epidemic prevention and control medical security team and was appointed as the team leader.
Deng Sulin, Dai Enting, Lu Lisha of Poly Health Industry Investment Co., Ltd., and Ge Wen, He Xi and other 17 cadres and workers of Poly Property Group Co., Ltd. who have medical background or health care experience, also joined the medical security team. At the same time, presidents and doctors Song Yuncai, Li Dan, Wang Shaowen, Han Guowen, and Zhu Changbao of Hexihui Hospital under Poly Health Industry Investment Co., Ltd. also joined the medical security team. On February 10, the “Medical Angel” team, consisting of retired cadres, medical staff of the elderly care institutions and volunteer employees, was quickly assembled.
Accurate investigation and professional analysis are the foundations of epidemic prevention and control, and scientific diagnosis and psychological intervention are the key. Poly Group regards its subsidiaries as “sentinel points” of the front line to ensure the health and safety of 110,000 employees. In order to keep track of employees’ travel trajectories and health trends at any time，Poly establish daily health records of key observers, form daily reports on group patient conditions, does well at source control, and master the initiative to implement precise strategies and scientific prevention and control. The medical security team has undertaken the basic work of collecting trivial information and analyzing a large amount of data of patient employees, and weaving a tightly integrated epidemic prevention and control network in Poly Group’s work system.
The medical security team timely communicates, understands, and responds to cases that are deemed to require special attention. The team also provides medical advice, psychological counseling, and other medical security opinions if needed. The medical security team of Poly Group assigned special personnel to conduct tight connection and efficient operation guarantee system that constitutes a “cloud medical” service platform during the epidemic. This “cloud medical” service platform not only provides employees with a “centering pill” to defeat the epidemic, but also plays an important role in early surveillance of the epidemic prevention and control.
As of March 10, the medical security team has tracked a total of 382 confirmed cases, provided an average of 13 services on a daily basis and an peak of 18 daily services; for the total of 130 suspected cases, the team has provided an average of four services daily, and a peak of nine; for the 178 patients under key observation, the team has provided an average of five services daily and a peak of ten services. A total of 16 confirmed patients were discharged after recovery from the hospital.
There is such a group of people who are entrusted to take care of the elderly in Hexihui, an elderly care program of Poly, and to be “responsible for keeping home safe”. They also have to take the initiative to provide professional support for the medical security team of the Poly Group for medical treatment, psychological intervention and psychological adjustment of family members, so as to “specialize in surgery and have different medical skills”. They are the doctors of Poly Hexihui .
Song Yuncai, the current president of Poly Chengdu Hexihui, after joining the medical security team, he took on the important task of psychological adjustment for the sick employees, and has become everyone’s “warm-hearted uncle Song” for his kind communication with the sick employees. Meanwhile, the sentence “when you have difficulties, you’d better find uncle Song” has become everyone’s mantra.
With more than 20 years of clinical medicine and nursing experience, Li Dan, director of Poly Guangzhou Zhongke Hexihui, is responsible for the overall analysis and coordination of the illness situation of the sick employees, and has become the “central brain” of the medical team. She summarizes the information in time and analyzes it accurately，in order to provide professional research and judgment.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 808 people in seven institutions nationwide under Poly Health Industry Investment Co., Ltd have achieved 0 infection and 0 suspect, creating a safe place for the elderly, which has been well recognized by the community.
